Complete Description of the Travel Itinerary - Trip Planner
Each package contains:
Preparations. Based on time-of-year, location, type of vehicle, etc. Recommended starting and ending cities for flying in.
Recommended Reservations. Where needed for accommodations (lodging or camping), tours, or other special activities.
Accommodations (lodging or campgrounds). The narrative makes specific recommendations, based on your requests.
Online Guides. Links are provided to American West Travelogue guides which are relevant to your trip.
Travel Directions - Your Travel Route. The specific recommended route for your road trip. Includes for each leg: route numbers, type of road, distances in miles, estimated driving time, and pertinent comments.
Planning your schedule. The write-up doesn't hold you to a fixed, rigid schedule. Rather, we specify how long you might typically spend at each stop on the trip, based on travel times and attractions. We might add recommendations on what is a "can't-miss" and what might be skipped.
Trip Narrative. The narrative discusses in detail the various destinations on your route and the various activities available at each one. You will generally find more activities described than time actually allows. This allows you to pick out the things that seem most interesting and exciting to you.

Arizona travel. All areas of the state, including Grand Canyon (North Rim and South Rim), Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon, Painted Desert, Petrified Forest National Park, Lake Powell, Route 66, Indian Country (Monument Valley and other sites).
Black Hills of South Dakota. Featuring Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, and nearby Badlands National Park.
California travel. All areas of the state. Extensive information on the Central California Coast from San Diego to north of San Francisco, including most beaches, San Luis Obispo area, Santa Barbara, Big Sur, Monterey/Carmel, and the Bay Area. Know many of the less well-known, off-the-beaten-path attractions. Very knowledgable of San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles wine country. Also, all national parks in the state.
Colorado Front Range. Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado Springs area (Pikes Peak and other attractions).
Glacier National Park, Montana and adjacent Waterton Lakes in Alberta. Very complete knowledge of both parks.
Las Vegas Loop. Popular trip starting and ending in Las Vegas. Features Southwest Utah parks, Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Route 66, and Hoover Dam.
Southwest Colorado. Mesa Verde National Park, Ute Mountain, Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, San Juan Skyway route.
Utah Canyon Country. Utah national parks (Zion, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands, and Arches), Grand Staircase - Escalante, Paria River, extensive Zion Narrows, Scenic Highway 12, prehistoric Anasazi and Fremont sites, Monument Valley, Lake Powell, Four Corners, Dinosaur / Flaming Gorge Country.
Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, and Jackson, Wyoming. Also, all major routes across state. Very complete knowledge of both parks and surrounding areas.
